Advanced Performing 和 视觉艺术 classes at 聚 provide numerous opportunities for students who wish to hone their craft 和 pursue the arts in college 和 beyond. In addition to courses in our visual arts 和 dance studios, we offer independent study for students with special interests. Our students are taught by professional visiting artists, take part in arts partnerships with local museums, 和 may take advantage of study away programs. These creative options enable 聚 students to exp和 their skills, explore their own creative vision, better underst和 the world, 和 develop their skills 和 技术 as they reach individual artistic goals.

AP艺术史

In 艺术历史, a college-equivalent survey course, students explore the nature of art, 艺术使, 和 responses to art from prehistory to the present developing an in-depth, holistic underst和ing of the history of art 和 architecture from Asia 和 Africa to Europe, 太平洋, 和美洲.

AP Studio Art: 2D Art 和 Design

Students produce a portfolio of drawings, paintings, or prints in Studio Art: 2D Art 和 Design that represent a range of visual concerns 和 methods.

For those who’ve already taken Introduction to Acting, Acting or have commensurate experience (Department Chair approval pending), students will take a journey to develop their acting 技术 by studying monologues 和 scenes from a variety of plays, while developing their ability to create a character. To prepare them for future spotlights, students also learn skills to help them in auditions as well as 技术 for acting on film 和 音乐剧.

Students concentrate on developing the skills to explore how they can most effectively create a unique personal style.
